Plot summary:
A family travel from the city to visit their grandmother’s home in the bush.
The novel follows Buddy Wayne, the youngest child in the family, who was born in the city, but has strong ties to the bush and wants to learn all about it.
Buddy’s grandmother, Nan, takes him into the bush, and teaches him about the miracles and medicines found there. She also shows him how to look between the stars in the night sky to learn more about the land below.
