Colours

'Colours' is the first book in the The Honey Ant Readers second series, the Speaking Books. These books complement the HAR education program by teaching oral language. This colourful book is recommended for any adult to read with a child, or non-English speakers of any age. It has been developed to teach oral Standard Australian English in a fun, comfortable and interactive way. 'Colours' includes vocabulary building, songs and rhymes, questions to elicit specific language around numbers, counting, mathematical concepts, shapes, comparisons, prepositions as well as art and hands-on activities involving colours. The characters in the book are all Indigenous Australians.
