Nana's Land is a rites of passage story with striking illustrations that will capture the imagination of young and old alike. Teenagers Kutabah and Warabal live with their extended family in the lower Yidinji region, at the foot of Queensland's Atherton Tablelands. They are taught the traditional ways of life and listen to stories from their Nana Garna about her land in the lush tropical rainforests of the Tablelands. Kutabah is a patient girl who enjoys helping her mother and aunts with the chores and looking after the children. Warabal is learning to become a hunter like the other young men and he is already skilled in the arts of tracking and stealth. Together with their baby brother, they are about to embark upon their first test of adulthood-they must find their way to their nana's land using the skills they have been taught.
